Vessel 1 Nero Marquina

Carved from a single piece of specimen stone the solitary orb appears to emerge from the plane on which it sits. Influenced by a ceramic vessel discovered in the wall built at the north-west frontier of the Roman empire following the emperor Hadrian’s visit to Britain in the year 122 AD. The work is a representation of the delicate balance of order maintained by the natural world.
